The Elizabeth C. Grey Foundation Mission Statement

The Elizabeth C. Grey Foundation is committed to providing funds for non profits whose mission is to rehabilitate injured wildlife and wildlife rescues along with ALS awareness. Beth was tireless in her dedication to these causes and by supporting them, we proudly honor her memory.

Thank you  for visiting us today and we sincerely hope that this brief yet informative website will help you know why this foundation is so very important. We miss the laughter Beth provided and the smile that lit up every room she entered. She was the anecdote for sadness and the epitome of unique humor. She was kind yet direct , helpful to others in need and giving to the point of exhaustion. We are striving to continue her tireless effort to make all things better. By hitting the donation button, you will help to ensure that Beth's voice will continue to make a difference. We are humbled to be part of this foundation and please know that every cent raised will go directly to the charities mentioned. This perpetual foundation is our way of raising Beth's silence to help others in need. We thank you for your kindness.

    About Elizabeth

On October 20, 2021, two and a half  years after als diagnosis, Beth was taken from us. The world changed that day and as she fought valiantly yet remaining optimistic and hopeful.

Beth never asked   " why me ? ". We lost an irreplaceable friend who was kind, thoughtful and put the welfare of other before hers. Beth was humble and rarely, if ever, asked for favors from anyone. When diagnosed,  she and her fiancee, Jim, let very few people know. Beth refused to burden others with her diagnosis and swore others to do the same. She was not an introvert by any means but simply did not want others to worry about her. The welfare of others was more important than her own well being. Beth was passionate about wildlife and the environment. Wildlife rescues and preserving their habitats were important to her and with your generous support, funds raised will go to selected non profits to help in wildlife rescue and als related causes. PLEASE hit the donate button and on behalf of the Elizabeth C. Grey Foundation...

    A Few Words from Jim

    Hello,

My soulmate and love of my life Beth may not be here today in a physical sense but she absolutely is with me spiritually. Words cannot describe the sense of loss I feel each day.  Her kindness, unique brand of humor and warm smile are irreplaceable. She is STILL my inspiration and my hero. The years we spent together were too brief but were filled with meticulous  gardening, nights by the fire overlooking the Bay and the visions of Beth feeding the wild bunnies, deer and birds that were nearby.  Her garden would flourish and the grass was perfectly manicured.  It was the simple things in life that made her smile. That is what I miss every minute of every day. Her laughter and smile were beyond compare. I am certain that those of you who lost a loved one can relate to the hollow feeling of loss that appears unexpectedly. This foundation is an extension of Beth. A way to forever preserve her memory and to create new ones by allowing others to share in her vision. She was selfless , humble and kind. I absolutely  commit to continue with those attributes through the Elizabeth C. Grey Foundation. I know Beth is with me every day and with a mischievous smirk,  will be there when the times ahead get tough. Please consider donating on this website and know that you are helping to preserve Beth's memory while helping other charities that were so important to Beth. I hope you enjoy the photos I selected from the hundreds I took of Beth. I did my best but always find myself improving this site. Thank you so much.    Peace , Jim

The Atlantic Shark Institute where we sponsored a research acoustic buoy at Block Island Sound enabling Research Director Jon Dodd to track endangered shark species in RI waters. Number 6 buoy bears Beth's name ! She LOVED sharks and all things aquatic !

Beth's foundation purchased a NEW therapeutic motorized bed frame for an ALS diagnosed gentleman whose quality of life will be improved because of this much needed device.

    Fall 2024:

    RI ALS Chapter

We sponsored TWO families who were desperate to obtain respite care. They were financially prohibitive for them. The Elizabeth C. Grey stepped in and provided $2,500.00 to EACH family that will allow much needed respite care. Without our donation, that would not have happened.

    Spring 2025

The ECG Foundation donated FOUR Rollators  and a motorized scooter battery that will help ALS diagnosed patients to become more mobile. Again, they were much needed and we donated them to 4 families who were financially struggling. We stepped in and helped !

This is how your generous donations help! With all of you....we could never help others...one donation at a time !

Thus far, because of YOUR generous donations, the Elizabeth C. Grey Foundation has, since 2021, donated over $ 20,000 in grants or medical equipment for those in need !
